‘s lawyer is speaking out on reports claiming the late athlete left a suicide letter for a gay prison lover.

As we’ve told you, the convicted NFL star supposedly left behind three notes before hanging himself from his prison cell last week — one of which was allegedly addressed to another prisoner he’d been intimate with. The other two were said to be written to his fiance, Shayanna Jenkins-Hernandez, and the couple’s four-year-old daughter Avielle.

Speaking to TMZ on Monday, Jose Baez denied such rumors:

“Rumors of letters to a gay lover, in or out of prison, are false. These are malicious leaks used to tarnish somebody who is dead.”

And as far as if he believes Aaron’s death was suicidal or murder, he added:

“There is still plenty we are investigating.”
